In Character InformationName: Meknob Ugbag
Age: Unknown, since Orks don't really age like humans do. He's a full grown adult Ork and that's all that really matters.
Birthday & Astrology Sign: This is important due to the game's plot. If your character does not have a canon birthday, please make one up.
Arcana: The Chariot
World Snapshot:
Basically what happened was the year 40,000 rolls around and all humans worship the Emperor who's like a corpse being kept alive with tons of souls everyday. There's chaos gods that promote wrath and sloth and all kinds of things and there's also demons to worry about. Oh, and a ton of alien races, all who have their own agenda but most of the time they want to kill all other races. Basically there is nothing but war and no one is happy.
Humans have lost a ton of their technology from current day, and while they have the ability to fly around the universe blowing up planets, they've lost a lot of their convenience type technology. Other alien races have their own technology, but humans refuse to use anything that isn't human made.
More about Orks, since I'm apping an Ork character. Their who society is based around violence. Whoever's the biggest is the boss and everyone else has to fall in line or they get a clobberin'. They generally believe in fighting first, everything else coming second, and Orks that use strategy are considered outsiders. They're probably the least intelligent race of aliens and if it wasn't for Mekboys, they might just be stranded on a few planets with nothing to do. For Mekboys, mechanical knowledge is completely biologically based, so they can build ships and guns but if you ask them exactly what they're doing, they wouldn't be able to tell you. It's also important to mention that Orks use teeth (or teef, as they call them) as currency. The pointer the better, making human teef worthless.
So yep, basically everything is war, nothing is happy, good luck not getting killed because almost everything in the universe wants you dead no matter who you are.
Backstory:
Meknob was born like any other Ork was. See, Orks don't mate, they asexually reproduce by spreading spores around. The spores will grow and, tada, another Ork. Anyway, this Ork was born into a proppa Ork gang with a Warboss named Snagagrot Duffrunt at the head. But see, in Ork society, the biggest rule and the others follow. What happened was that another Ork came in and was the same size as Snagagrot. So they fought for superiority and the newcomer won. When this happens, the old Warboss is kicked out of the mob.
But see, Meknob and Snagagrot were really close friends, and Meknob couldn't imagine serving another Warboss other than him. So Meknob joined the Warboss in his exile, even though it was against Snagagrot's wishes. Meknob grabbed a small ship just for the two of them and they were off to space, not really even sure what they were looking for. They just needed to find something to do.
Snagagrot decided to visit the first human planet they came across because why not? And of course, Meknob joined, because Snagagrot is da boss. Maybe in the process they could clobber some humans and have a good time. They ran across some Rouge traders in the desert of this planet and since their skill was in gems and not fighting, they tempted the pair of orks with gems and gold in the hopes that they'd take it and leave them alone. And surprisingly, it seemed to work! Both orks became obsessed with human material goods, and decided that they were “much shiner than teef.”
Thus they set out into the galaxy to rob humans and other races of their shinies, becoming the best ork pirates ever. Some of these adventures lead them to no shines, others led them to all of the shines, and some lead them to new ork company, freshly abandoned by their own mobs.
At one point they had wandered into Eldar territory to steal some Eldar technology. They managed to find a stray Ork who had accidentally been left behind by his mob. His name was Waaflag Norbsog and while he was smaller than Meknob, he was a good fighter worthy of Snagagrot's crew.
In his most recent adventure, his ship wandered into a human hive planet. While being part of Snagagrot's crew, he cleaned out a bunch of rich people's houses because they have the shiniest of things. He ended up with a stray lazgun shot in his leg, but that's nothing for an Ork.
Canon Standing: After the adventure on the human hive planet.
Personality:
For this, I'm going to divide it up into traits that are typical for orks that Meknob has, and traits that are not typical for orks, but have been developed over his pirating days. I call them "Orky" and "Not so Orky."
Orky
Meknob loves to fight. It's probably every ork's favorite hobby. If he isn't choppin or shootin something then Meknob's either working with machines or being grumpy. Because Meknob is a Mekboy, he is a bit smarter than other orks, but since most of his knowhow is just instinct rather than actual smarts he's still pretty dumb. You can explain simple things to him, but if you go too long or get too complicated he'll just get distracted or confused and wander off. Orks are also illiterate, and Meknob isn't an exception to the rule. He cannot read or write. Also, because of his society, he's used to either ruling or being ruled, and he's likely to get hostile and smack around anyone he's talking to that's smaller than him if they don't listen.
Not so Orky
Meknob is incredibly greedy, and this isn't exclusive to just gold and jewels. He's likely to steal anything that he thinks is shiny, including aluminum foil. He's also just used to taking whatever he wants without asking, and if anyone gets in his way, they're askin' for a clobberin'. Also he's grown to feeling rather indifferent about other races instead of hating them all. He's kind of started to get that other races have their good points too and maybe listening to what they say might yield some interesting things to build into his machines... as long as they don't get too boring and rambley.
Meknob is also incredibly loyal to Snagagrot, to the point where he won't follow anyone else in another setting regardless of if they're bigger than him or not. Snagagrot is basically his bff and anyone who says otherwise is getting a clobberin'.
Canon Powers:
Orkz iz da best (almighty): orks have the ability to warp reality based on what they believe and how strongly they believe in it. Luckily, they aren't smart enough to even realize they have this ability. It just helps Meknob out here because when he builds something, it really shouldn't work, but since he believes it will work he literally warps reality so that it will.
Smackin around some hummies (strike): Orks are also pretty strong, way stronger than a normal human. Meknob, despite being a Mekboy, isn't an exception to the rule.
Canon Weapons|Items:
Burnybooma: Meknob's custom gun. In his own words “Iz burny an' then it goez boom” which roughly means the ammo is on fire when shot, and it explodes on contact. (elemental)
Big Choppa: A large axe. Iz Choppy an' Big. (strike)
Canon Baggage:
Mekboys gotta have
their tools and such, so he'll be comin' in wit those.
